Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliation treatment that uses a sterile blade to gently remove surface dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (“peach fuzz”). This process may leave the skin feeling smoother and appear more radiant. Treatments are customised to suit individual skin needs.
Benefits:
- May help support smoother skin texture
- Can enhance the absorption of skincare products
- May provide a more refined surface for makeup application
Individual results may vary.
Contraindications:
Dermaplaning may not be suitable if you:
- Have active acne or inflamed breakouts
- Have skin infections or open lesions
- Have recently used retinol or other strong exfoliants
- Are taking blood-thinning medications (increased risk of skin trauma)
Your suitability will be assessed during consultation.
Treatment Recommendation:
Treatments are typically recommended every 4–6 weeks. Dermaplaning can also be combined with other professional facial treatments as appropriate.
Aftercare:
- Avoid exfoliants or retinoids for 5 days post treatment
- Keep skin hydrated and apply broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, and exercise for 24 hours
Please note: Outcomes can vary, and no specific results can be guaranteed.
